<p><strong>Spatialytics </strong>is interested in having students working on  different ideas to improve the Spatial ETL GeoKettle, the SPatial OLAP  server GeoMondrian and/or the SOLAP mapping component SOLAPLayers. <strong>Visit  the <a href="/?page_id=547" target="_blank">Spatialytics.ORG GSoC ideas  page</a></strong>. GeoKettle is a true and consistent integration of the spatial  component where all steps provided by Kettle are able to deal with  geospatial data types. It includes a paper from the <a href="http://geosoa.scg.ulaval.ca/">GeoSOA research group</a> entitled &#8220;<a href="http://www.osbr.ca/ojs/index.php/osbr/article/view/964/928" target="_blank">Enabling geospatial Business Intelligence</a>&#8221; which provides details on what is geospatial BI and about the open source GeoBI software stack (<a href="http://www.geokettle.org/">GeoKettle</a>, <a href="http://www.geo-mondrian.org/">GeoMondrian</a> and <a href="http://www.solaplayers.org/">SOLAPLayers</a>, formerly known as Spatialytics) developed by the group.</p>
